Patricia Nanteza is the science writer. Before joining IITA, Patricia worked as a communication trainer with the Cornell Alliance for Science as well as a communication specialist with Uganda’s National Banana Research Program. Patricia is also the Associate Director of Science Stories Africa, a storytelling platform that she founded in a bid to take science closer to the masses. In 2015 she was among the inaugural cohort of Cornell University’s Global Leadership fellowship. She holds an MSc in Science Communication (University of Edinburgh) and a BA Social Sciences from Makerere University. Patricia’s drive is her desire to get the public to experience and acknowledge the importance and impact of agricultural research in their day-to-day lives.
